Introduction
The Third School Allocation Exercise 2012 has started. A new school premises under planning in Jordan Valley, Kwun Tong is available for application by eligible bodies for operating a new school for social development (SSD) cum residential home for girls.

Submission of Application
Applicants who are interested in applying for the school premises should follow the procedures below:

The applicants should submit a proposed school plan [NOT MORE THAN 15 pages, including all annexes] plus a 2-page executive summary. Applicant bodies may also provide a list of schools, residential homes and non-profit making social services that they are operating and their respective performance to support their application.

Should the proposed school plan contain more than 15 pages, the application may be adversely affected.

(3) |
Applicant bodies are required to submit (i) one copy each of their application forms and (ii) detailed information on their eligibility [i.e. incorporation document and certificate of exemption from tax], together with (ii) 21 copies each of the documents as stated in (1) above to the following address:

The above documents (i) to (iii) above should reach the address indicated above no later than 5:00 p.m. on 14 September 2012.

21 soft copies of the proposed school plan in the form of CD-ROM are also acceptable. Late submission or incomplete applications, as well as application via email, will NOT be accepted.

The invitation for application and submission of detailed school proposal is non-binding by nature. It does not constitute any kind of offer or the basis of any kind of offer to any party for school allocation, nor does it create any legal obligations on the Government. It does not prejudice any future scrutiny by the School Allocation Committee/ Government, nor commit them to any course of action including whether or not to approve any allocation at all, irrespective of the number of applications received. Nothing in this invitation shall oblige the Government to allocate the premises to any party at any time. |
